HALO: Infinite MK VII "Olympus" RAW cast helmet with visor
This is the Mk VII "Olympus" helmet from the upcoming HALO: Infinite game! This is the most accurate version available and was modeled by Kristian Berget.
The opening for this helmet is 6 3/4" and will fit most adult heads. It includes a "back-off" mod to allow even more access. This can be permanently attached or magnetized (magnets not included).
Each order includes the helmet, vents (6 total), and a gold, one-way visor created by the renowned Branfuhr Studios. If you would like a finished, custom color painted version (like pictured), we have teamed up with Brian Johnson of Johnson Arms and Props (He supplies his own mirror tinted, vacuum formed visors to help reduce the overall cost) If this is the route you would like to go, please contact him first here.
The RAW helmet casts are offered in four material choices.
The first two are plain Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 65D or Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 300 urethane plastic resin for $230 plus shipping. These are the most commonly ordered type. Note: 65D is more impact resistant, yet does not hold up well in hot climates or direct sunlight. 300 is a bit more brittle, yet holds up much better in hotter climates.
The other two are an aluminum cold cast, using Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 65D or Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 300 urethane plastic resin and Aluminum powder. Having a cold cast helmet gives the outer layer a metallic look that can be buffet to a high luster using super fine #000 steel wool. When coupled with a "worn and chipped" paint technique, it gives a very realistic appearance of a real metal based helmet. The cost for this style is $265 plus shipping. Again, note: 65D is more impact resistant, yet does not hold up well in hot climates or direct sunlight. 300 is a bit more brittle, yet holds up much better in hotter climates.
Please note that all parts are sold as RAW casts, and are created using either Smooth-On's Smooth-Cast 65D or Smooth-On Smooth-Cast 300 urethane plastic. As with all RAW casts, some measure of work, materials, and tools, are required to finish the product prior to painting. This is what most consider the fun part, and where they will "bond" with their helmet! Thickness of parts will vary, and some thin areas may be visible when held up to light. We do our best to minimize this from happening, while maintaining as light a cast as possible. Some parts may vary in tint/color. Surface imperfections, which are common, may include: Visible seam lines, flashing, and/or small bubbles.
Each set takes approximately 10 days to cast, inspect, package, and ship. Parts are made-to-order, and are cast on a first-come basis. If you intend to purchase, be sure to have all of your questions answered to your liking before ordering. No refunds, no exceptions. Shipping costs are not included in the price and are calculated upon checkout.
